A fresh new look for the official Skiri Trophy website

The Skiri Trophy XCountry is already looking ahead, as the countdown begins to its 43rd edition. Following the great success of the 2026 event, which brought more than 1,200 young cross-country skiers from numerous countries to Passo Lavazè, the renowned “Mundialito” of youth cross-country skiing will return to its most iconic home: the Cross-Country Stadium in Lago di Tesero.

The Olympic trails of Val di Fiemme, which took centre stage at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games and have long hosted some of the world’s most prestigious international competitions, will once again welcome hundreds of young athletes in the Under 10, Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16 categories for a weekend dedicated to sport, fun and personal growth.

Racing in Lago di Tesero means enjoying a unique experience on the very same trails where some of the greatest champions in international cross-country skiing have made history, and which continue to be a benchmark for the sport as a whole.

GS Castello di Fiemme, with its team coordinated by Nicoletta Nones, is already at work on another top-level edition, building on the enthusiasm generated by the 42nd event, which once again confirmed the Skiri Trophy as one of the most prestigious and well-attended competitions on the international youth cross-country skiing calendar.

Over more than forty years of history, the event has welcomed thousands of young athletes from across Europe and beyond, many of whom have gone on to enjoy successful careers at the highest levels of the sport.

The Skiri Trophy roll of honour tells the story of many talented young athletes. The all-time record belongs to Mauro Brigadoi, who claimed an impressive five victories between 2001 and 2008. Jessica Piussi, Gaia Vuerich, Martina Vignaroli and Davide Graz each have four wins to their name, while among the standout athletes of recent editions are Anna Profanter and Thomas Gaole, who both reached three victories following their successes in the 2026 edition.

These names are a testament to the Skiri Trophy’s long-standing role as an exceptional proving ground for the champions of tomorrow.

The modern platform will guide competitors and their supporters towards another major event on the international youth cross-country skiing calendar.

The Skiri Trophy continues to write its story, renewing its commitment to promoting youth cross-country skiing and giving new generations the opportunity to compete on one of the world’s most prestigious stages.

The countdown has begun: the trails of Lago di Tesero are ready to bring the magic of the Skiri Trophy to life once again.
